The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Jen Shah shared some sad news about her Aunt Nani. She confirmed that since her aunt filmed with her for Season 2 of RHOSLC, she has passed away.

How to Watch

"My Auntie Nani passed away June 25th," Jen wrote on Twitter on Sunday, sharing the news with fans the same night her family member made an appearance in the Season 2 premiere on September 12. "Rest in peace."

Jen's aunt was a topic of discussion on RHOSLC in Season 1, with Jen explaining, amid tensions with Mary Cosby, that she had been visiting her aunt when Mary accused her of smelling like a hospital (she explained at the time that her aunt had to get her legs amputated). After that, as was seen in the Season 2 premiere during a family get-together, Jen's aunt had gotten prosthetic legs.

In the same episode, Jen also opened up about how losing several other relatives over the years, including her dad, has affected her family, especially amid some ups and downs with her husband, Sharrieff. "My relationship problems with Sharrieff in our marriage def had an effect on my entire family," she said in an interview in the episode. "I think it really impacted my mom and my siblings because we're the backbone of the family. My grandfather has passed. My dad's passed away. Sharrieff has taken over that role. So it's kind of like, wait a minute, if you guys are not right, the rest of the family's not right."

Jen went on to explain the strong bond of her family in Sunday's episode of RHOSLC. "In my family, you're gonna be OK because family takes care of family," she said. "You always have a home, and you always have somewhere to go. That's our culture. That's who we are."
