James Kennedy and Ally Lewber Say Their Heights Shock People at BravoCon
Plus, the Vanderpump Rules couple spilled what it's like for their relationship to film a reality show together.
Thousands of fans are in Las Vegas for BravoCon 2023, and as James Kennedy and Ally Lewber have been meeting Vanderpump Rules lovers, they've shared what about themselves surprises fans the most. Turns out, it has something to do with their appearances.
Ally and James also revealed more about what it's been like filming a very tense Season 10 and dramatic Season 11 as a couple, and if it's taken a toll on their relationship. Here's what they had to say at BravoCon.
How tall is James Kennedy?
James and Ally joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas for a couples live interview at BravoCon 2023.
When asked what fans say the most upon meeting the RHONJ OG, Teresa said she often gets, "'You're so much prettier in person.' It's fine. I'd rather be prettier in person than not."
Teresa's husband added he most frequently hears, "'Oh, you're so tall.'"
James said he could relate to that, adding, "I definitely get the tall thing. Like, 'James, I thought you were short.' No, mate, no."
James went on to reveal his actual height, which is 6'1" ... and a half.
"At least I'm not like that 6'2" guy," James joked about his very specific height. "It's a hard 6'1" and a half."
James also hears that he's much better-looking "in real life," but he understands the comment.
"I do think I look better in person than I do on the show," James added. "I don't know what the camera does. I'm good-looking, but better in person."
How tall is Ally Lewber?
Just like her boyfriend, Ally also hears fans surprised at her height.
"I'm 5'7"," she admitted. "I've been wearing heels. And [I get] the pretty thing too. And it's funny because I don't know how to take it, either. It's nice. I'd rather look prettier in person."
James and Ally reveal how filming Vanderpump Rules has impacted their relationship
James and Ally, who have been together for a year and seven months, just got done filming the much-anticipated Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. Last year, during the drama surrounding Tom Sandoval's affair that ended his relationship with Ariana Madix, was Ally's first time being around the group.
"Being with [James] helped a lot," Ally said of her nerves during Season 10. "Last year was really scary. It's an intimidating group to just come into. This season, Season 11, was a lot easier for me. [James and I] supported each other obviously, but I felt like I had a stronger connection with the girls too."
James agreed filming the last two seasons has been tough.
"Honestly, yeah, filming is always going to put stress on relationships ... but it also makes us stronger when we get through it," he said during BravoCon 2023.
James said it's really helped his relationship with Ally.
"Ally and I are such a tight-knit team that when we get home we just make sure we're there to support each other," James said.
