Jax Taylor Got the Chicest Housewarming Gift From Tom Schwartz (PHOTO)
The Valley cast member is revealing the gift that Vanderpump Rules' Tom Schwartz brought over to his new house.
Jax Taylor is slowly getting settled into his brand-new house amid his split from his ex, Brittany Cartwright. And luckily for The Valley cast member, he has his BFF — Vanderpump Rules' Tom Schwartz — as his new neighbor to help him out and gift him some lovely housewarming gifts.
Jax took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, September 17, where he gave a new furniture update and revealed how Tom is helping him make his new townhouse feel more homey. Although Jax has been making a lot of progress in decorating his new place, there is still so much more that needs to be done — and he's in the process of doing it.
The dad of one gave a small view of his kitchen island (which is covered in objects — par for the course in a new home) and revealed that he built an "extremely heavy" but "beautiful table" from the Canadian based, Renwil Decor. Jax also showed off another new view of his kitchen, with Tom Schwartz's housewarming gift — a beautiful white orchid — sitting on top of the kitchen island alongside a pumpkin-scented candle and some seasonal fall decor.
"Thanks for my orchid," Jax wrote over the photo, tagging Tom.
Are Jax Taylor and Tom Schwartz living together?
Although Tom is already sprucing up Jax's new place, Jax revealed that they are not living together. Jax took to his podcast, When Reality Hits, where he explicitly stated that he is living on his own, without roommates.
"He has a townhouse that is next to mine, but they are completely separate," he explained. "We have our own building, but we do not live together."
But, Jax said that he is looking forward to having Tom next door. Especially since his 3-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, who he shares with Brittany, loves being around Tom. "He is my best friend at the end of the day," Jax said of Tom. "And if I need help with something, if I need help with Cruz, he's right there."
"[Tom] loves Cruz," he continued. "And when Cruz gets to come over here, he's gonna love hanging out with Uncle Tom."
Jax also revealed that he has "a couple other buddies" who live in the same neighborhood as him and Tom, but they won't be partying it up. "We are all older now," he insisted. "We all have different ideas in life. And I think we have a good support system here, and I really like it."
Why Tom Schwartz Loves Gifting His Friends Plants
This isn't the first time that Tom has gifted one of his friends a plant after they moved into a new home. When VPR cast member Lala Kent moved into her home in the Valley this year, Tom gifted her a money tree. And during the VPR Season 11 premiere, Tom gifted James Kennedy and Ally Lewber a "little monster" when they moved into their new home. "Being a new homeowner, you're going to become obsessed with plants," he told them during the episode.
During the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Tom explained why he's so fond of gifting plants, especially since his own plants helped him when he moved into a new apartment after his divorce from Katie Maloney. "Having plants in there, somehow, made it more like a home," he said. Check out what else he revealed in the video at the top of the post.
