How Lisa Vanderpump Is Helping Fight Ebola
The ‘RHOBH’ star sets the stage for Ebola relief.
Lisa Vanderpump has never been one to shy from speaking her mind, or for sticking up for what she believes in. Whether she's supporting the LGBT community, or raising awareness of worldly epidemics, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Ebola victims and survivors are no exception. On Monday night, Lisa will be a presenter and speaker at the United Nation’s “Stop Ebola and Build For the Future” relief concert, before Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The event, co-hosted by Nick Cannon and Cheryl Wills and featuring performances by Estelle and others, is an effort to support combatting the outbreak of the disease, which has had devastating international effects.
It’s a cause that the British beauty feels very strongly about, especially when it comes to fiercely defending the survivors. “Instead of being praised and celebrated for overcoming this terrible disease…[they] are being ostracized…from their respective communities,” her remarks are set to include.
It’s a quick turnaround for the West Coast ‘Wife, who just last night was making an appearance at an event for family equality.
