Malia Says David "Would've Probably Been Let Go" for His "Original Plan" Before His Fall

The deckhand addresses exactly what he was trying to do before his major spill on Below Deck Med.

By Laura Rosenfeld

David Pascoe shocked the Below Deck Mediterranean crew and fans alike when he fell while getting out of the hot tub during the yachties' night off in the September 13 episode. And though David came away from the incident with a pretty nasty-looking bruise on his thigh, it actually could have been much, much worse, as we're learning in the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show, above.

In the above clip exclusive to Bravo Insider, David and his fellow Lady Michelle crew members try to piece together the events of that night off before things "spiraled out of control," as the deckhand put it. As you will see, that proves to be easier said than done.

David admitted that he actually isn't "100 percent sure" what he intended to do when he got out of the hot tub. "I don't know what direction I was going, but it wasn't a good one," he said in the Below Deck Med After Show. "I'm pretty sure I only hit my leg. That's all I remember is just hitting my leg."

David then shared more about the extent of his injury. "It was impact injury on that thigh muscle. But yeah, nothing more than a bruise," he said. "It was sore. But yeah, nothing life-threatening by any stretch of the imagination."

Things would have been a lot more serious for David if he had gone through with his "original plan," according to Malia White. "And I was like, 'David, you're lucky you slipped then.' I got real bosun. I was like, 'What are you thinking?' Like, he would've probably been let go if I had found out about that. Like, that's just the dumbest thing," Malia said in the Below Deck Med After Show. "So thank god he slipped and fell, and he deserves that bruise to remind him don't do stupid s--t [laughs]."

Find out what Malia said David had originally intended to do before his fall, the medical attention the deckhand received following the spill, and what the rest of the Below Deck Med crew remembers from that night by signing up for Bravo Insider, above.
