Malia White Turns 34; Reflects on the Highs and Lows of the Past Year: "I Learned a Lot"
The Below Deck Mediterranean alum looked back at some of the most memorable moments of her 33rd year.

On Saturday, July 20, the Below Deck Mediterranean alum marked her 34th birthday with a heartwarming look-back on the past 12 months. The Instagram carousel included photos of Malia's most memorable moments over the past year, including beachside getaways with loved ones, nights on the town with friends, and her time on Winter House Season 3.

“What a year 33 was!” she captioned the post. “I felt loss but found love, witnessed old friends become new parents, visited new countries, crossed the Atlantic Ocean (again), made it home to be with family, celebrated friends getting married, danced the night away with friends who became family, wrapped a TV show, had new career ventures.”
Malia acknowledged that the past year “had a lot of highs but some really low lows"; however, she was grateful for all the lessons she received along the way.
“I learned a lot about what matters most,” she continued. “Thankful I caught the sunrise this morning ! Here’s to 34! Thank you for all the love & support this year.”

Birthday wishes pour in for Malia White
The post received more than 18,000 “likes” and hundreds of comments from friends, fans, and Bravolebrities, including Jordan Emanuel and Bria Fleming of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard, Casey Craig of Winter House, and Malia’s good friend/Below Deck Med castmate Katie Flood.
“I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU KNOW!” the latter commented. “Happy birthday my lil wifey.”
The post also included a photo of the new guy in Malia’s life. The longtime yachtie shared a glimpse at the mystery man back in May when she provided an inside look at their Scottish road trip, which included hiking, camping, and whiskey tasting.
Malia White shares exciting career updates
Malia embarked on the adventure just a month after she and Katie completed another charter season in the Caribbean. She celebrated the conclusion in a May 17 Instagram post, right before she and her team headed across the Atlantic.
In 2023, Malia announced she had become a chief mate 3000, which brought her "one step closer" to her dreams of becoming a captain. She mentioned the milestone during Winter House Season 3 while speaking to Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Yawn.
“Well, super exciting news, I just got my chief mate’s ticket. One step closer,” Malia told Sandy. “So, I just got promoted to second officer, and now I can start working on my sea time for Master’s 3000. Then I’ll be where you are.”
