Garcelle Beauvais' Son Jaid Went to Homecoming After Overcoming a Major Obstacle
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills son had a setback, "but that didn't stop him," Garcelle shared.
Garcelle Beauvais' son, Jaid, just experienced a rite of passage. On October 1, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom shared a photo of her teenager as he headed off to homecoming. Looking quite dapper, Jaid happily posed for photos with his date. Both of the high-school students looked radiant, but Garcelle's caption shared a bit of the backstory: Her son had just overcome a major obstacle in order to make it to the dance.
This isn't the first time Garcelle has taken to Instagram to acknowledge a milestone. Last May, the movie star shared a post that congratulated Jaid on his middle-school graduation. "Happy 8th grade graduation,” she wrote. “You make me proud every day!”
Since then, Jaid (who has a twin brother, Jax) has started his high school career. And in Garcelle's latest Instagram post, he was looking so grown up.

In the photos Garcelle posted, everything looked dandy. Jaid was dressed in an all-black look that included fitted pants, a collared shirt, and a matching tie. He did let a pop of color come through, adding vibrant sneakers to his elegant look.
Jaid's lovely date wore a silky pink dress with a bright floral corsage, which Jaid put on her wrist in his mama's farmhouse-inspired kitchen. The couple also posed for photos in front of a pink sea of balloons that spelled out Homecoming.
In one pic, Jaid could be seen standing on crutches. Garcelle explained it all in her caption. "Jaid had knee surgery on Tuesday but that didn’t stop him from going to [homecoming] dance," the mother of three and grandma of one wrote.
