Erika Jayne Announces the Passing of Her Dog, Tiago: "My Boy's Gone"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member opened up about her grieving process in a candid interview.
Erika Jayne is mourning the loss of a beloved family member. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member recently said goodbye to her dog, Tiago, and she's honoring the Dutch Shephard by sharing fond memories of him and taking some private time to grieve.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the performer shared the sad news: "I had to euthanize Tiago two weeks ago," she told the outlet. "I had to put my dog to sleep. It's just been really sad for me, and it's been tough." She also called the dog: "the best friend a girl could have."
When Erika moved into her current home after moving out of the mansion she shared with her ex, her four-legged companion came with her. Now, "the house is quiet," she told PEOPLE. "My boy's gone. So... yeah... I've been really grieving. And I didn't do one of those Instagram announcements, but it just feels right to share it."

Erika is finding some comfort in knowing that her dog, who was 12 years old, lived a full life. "Tiago lived a really long time for a shepherd," she told PEOPLE "He had an amazing life."
She also appreciats the fact that Tiago made several appearances on RHOBH over the years. "The one really good thing about the show is that he will live on forever," she said. "That brings me enormous comfort."
The beautiful dog will also live in on Erika's Instagram feed, where she's shared several Tiago appreciation posts over the years. Most recently, on September 16, she shared a sweet photo of the dog looking gorgeous as he rested on a patterned rug. "My distinguished gentleman," she captioned the snap.
When Erika stopped by The Daily Dish HQ in NYC back in 2022, she offered another update on her beloved dog. “He’s good. He’s at home right now and I miss him. He’s a sweetheart,” she said before revealing what he does when she’s away. “He waits by the door. But he has a sitter. So it’s fine.”
