What Does Does It Mean for Dolores Catania & David Now That She's Getting Her Own Place?
The RHONJ mom explains why she's getting a place in NYC.
On Season 10 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dolores Catania is preparing to move in with boyfriend David Principe. But it appears those plans have been put on hold: Dolores told Page Six that she's not moving in with him now... and that she's actually moving from New Jersey to New York City for the summer with her son, Frankie Catania, as he completes an internship
She told Page Six that while David had moved in with her and ex-husband Frank Catania after filming Season 10, “David will probably be moving into his house, like, this week." She added that she isn't joining him because she is “finally just getting used to my freedom.”
Dolores continued, "The first half of my life was for everyone: my kids, my family, my ex-husband, anybody who was in my life. Before I have that [again], I would like to get to know myself better. I’m working with a shaman. I’m doing a lot of spiritual stuff. I’m a devout Catholic, but I think there’s so much more to learn, and I want a clear mind before I make any other decisions in my life.”
And Dolores isn't even pressing the commitment issue with David right now. “It’s not just a ring. I think that even if there was — I think it’s the timing for me. He didn’t. And I’m kind of glad he didn’t because now my mindset isn’t there anymore," she explained. "I am not single, but not engaged. Not married."
Although their plans to move in together in the future are still TBD, the couple is spending Valentine's Day together at the Rainbow Room in New York City. So perhaps David will end up being one of Dolores' frequent apartment guests after all!
