Cynthia Bailey Is “Definitely” Ready to Date Again, but Is She Open to Marriage?

When Cynthia Bailey sat down for a recent interview, it didn’t take long for her to spill the tea on her love life.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum (who will actually pop up in the current Season 15!) didn’t miss a beat when asked in a recent chat if she was ”ready to mingle” now that she’s “officially single,” answering: “Cynthia is definitely ready to mingle!” She went on to get real about whether she’s currently dating and whether she’s open to getting married for a third time. 

First, Cynthia talked about her current dating life. “Here’s the thing,” she said when speaking to Access Atlanta, taking a sip of her cocktail. “I’m not rushing into anything. However, I do believe that God is moving my steps. And I think that if he has somebody out there for me, he’s moving their steps. And if they come this week and I meet them, it is what it is. If they come in two years, it is what it is. I don’t believe in like, ‘Oh, I need to, like, just be by myself for two years.’ I’m 56 years old. I’m not trying to have a Hot Girl Summer at 60, OK? I gotta get back out there. I can only live with so much grass growing underneath my feet.”

She spilled a bit more tea on why she’s ready to enter a new relationship. “I am good, I’ve done a lot of work on myself, I’m continuing to work on myself,” Cynthia shared. “I’m pouring all of my love and energy into myself right now. So I’m excited about the possibility of meeting someone at some point, and sharing some of this good love with them!” 

Now, just because Cynthia is ready to mingle that doesn’t mean she’s ready to walk down the aisle again. “[My new relationship] doesn’t have to be a marriage,” she told the outlet. “I’ve been married twice, but I’m not saying I would never get married again. It really honestly just depends on who God has for me this time around.”

She continued: “Third time’s a charm, but if not, hey, you know what? Again, God is moving my steps. I am a Pisces woman. I am a lover of love. I’m always on a quest for love. Everything I do still comes back to love at the end of the day. So I’m never going to give up on love. But do I have to get married again? If it works, great. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t.” 

Cynthia admitted that life can get lonely sometimes. “I love the idea of having a partner,” she said. “Someone to travel with, someone to hang out with, someone to watch TV with, all that stuff. That gets lonely, as a single woman, at this point in my life. But I don’t know! I’m actually so good with myself. When it comes, it comes, and I’ll be excited for it. I am patient, but at the same time, I’m on alert… I’m definitely woke and on alert. But I am just letting God organically move my steps and bring to me whoever he feels like.”

Cynthia’s calm and measured perspective extends to her past relationships with Mike Hill (their marriage ended last year), Peter Thomas, Leon Robinson, and other beaus.  

“I don’t regret any of my marriages,” she said. ”I don’t regret any of my relationships. Those men were all a part of my story. They were a part of my journey. And I’ve grown and become better with each man, each experience. I don’t live life with regrets. It’s all a part of my story. It’s all a part of my journey.”
