Cynthia Bailey's Sister Joined Her for a "Fun" Night Out Celebrating a Personal Cause

The RHOA friend teamed up with her sister, Malorie Bailey, for a cause close to their hearts as they reflected on their health journies.

By Casey Suglia

Cynthia Bailey and her sister, Malorie Bailey, are a dynamic duo. The Real Housewives of Atlanta friend does have many pals, but her bond with Malorie (who she lovingly refers to as Mal) is one of a kind. The two stunning siblings hit the town over the weekend to bring awareness to uterine fibroids — a cause that both Cynthia and Mal have devoted so much of their lives to over the years.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Cynthia and Malorie posed in front of a step and repeat over the weekend at the USA Fibroid Centers Fibroid Fighters event in New York City in photos they posted to Instagram. The siblings and longtime advocates for the cause looked gorgeous in their pink and purple strapless dresses before hitting the stage and sharing their own experiences with fibroids.

Cynthia, who served as the host of the event, took to the caption of her Instagram post to give her followers a very important message: "You are worth it!"

"Thank you to everyone who joined us for such an insightful, informative, and fun-filled evening!" Cynthia wrote in the caption of the post. "It was such a pleasure meeting all of you and I can't wait to see you again next year," she added.

Cynthia Bailey and Her Sister's Struggles with Fibroids

Cynthia has been very open about her struggles with fibroids, or tumors that develop on the smooth muscle of the uterus, which she found out about while pregnant with her daughter, Noelle Robinson. After seeing her sister struggle, Malorie learned of her fibroids in 2013. These fibroid tumors can cause cramps, heavy bleeding, and general pain, according to USA Fibroid Centers, and can cause bloating and issues with fertility.

Cynthia underwent surgery for Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) during RHOA Season 6 Episode 3. In January 2014, Cynthia told The Daily Dish that she was happy that she documented her surgery and recovery on the show. "It ended up being amazing," she said.

"I thought, 'No one wants to hear my talking about my period.' That's not sexy or glamorous. But I've had women and men, because they've had to deal with their wives' struggles, commend me for talking about it."

10 years later and Cynthia is still talking about it and bringing a voice to a cause that is very close to her heart.

Will Cynthia Bailey return for The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16?

Yes! RHOA Season 16 will be packed with familiar faces, like Cynthia, who will return to the group as a friend to the ladies.

We can't wait to catch up with her in the upcoming new season.
