During the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 reunion, which aired earlier this week, Sydney Zaruba confirmed that she had a new special someone in her life after finding herself in something of a love triangle with Gary King and Alli Dore during the charter season. "Yes, I have a partner that I've been with for about five months now," Sydney told host Andy Cohen.

The Parsifal III deckhand went on to share more details about her partner, including his reaction to everything that went down in Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. "My partner knows that it's in the past, and that's that. I work with him on a new boat now. He's the captain, and we work together, and it's good," Sydney said. "Obviously, it's never easy to see the person that you have strong feelings for having intimate relations with other people in front of the nation. But he's supportive of me, and he cares about me, and he's there to have my back no matter what."

After hearing that Sydney is now seeing a captain, some fans started to speculate if that was the deckhand's boss on the Parsifal III, Captain Glenn Shephard. However, Captain Glenn quickly set the record straight, confirming that he and Sydney are not dating in a post on Instagram on June 25. "I guess the news is out. And the news is: Syd and I are great friends," Captain Glenn captioned a photo of himself and Sydney. "And she’s dating a captain. A different Captain."

Of course, Captain Glenn and Sydney have kept in touch since this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Captain Glenn asked Sydney to be a part of the crew for the crossing after the charter season came to an end, along with Gary, Alli, and Natasha De Bourg. Captain Glenn and Sydney also ran into each other while out and about in Palma de Mallorca, Spain this spring.

While reflecting on Season 2 in a post on Instagram on June 22, Sydney also showed her appreciation for Captain Glenn's mentorship. "I want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to join superyachting. I stayed on P3 post season because of you [and] have continued my career in yachting because you believed in me. You gave me a home away from home on Parsifal - and for that I will ever be grateful for. On top of teaching deck skills You reintroduced me to karting - which I will ONE DAY Kick your ass at - and reminded me that fun isn’t always what the norms think it is," Sydney shared. "I have no words but thanks and gratitude - I’ve learned so much from you [and] I hope I will always have [a] home in your crew. Thinking of the opportunity I was given brings a little tear to my eyeball - it’s not every day you get to be deckie on a perini. Cheers Glenn. Thanks for having faith in me."

As for the latest on Captain Glenn's love life, he shared his current relationship status during the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 reunion. "I'm not married, but I'm not celibate, let's put it that way," Captain Glenn said when Andy asked if he was single.

But Captain Glenn definitely has plenty of admirers. When Andy asked, "Does it go down in your DMs?" Captain Glenn responded, "Oh, yeah. I get a lot of interesting DMs. Photos, videos, you know, all kinds of invitations. It's great. I love it."
