Bethenny Frankel's Update on Her Divorce Left Andy Cohen Shocked
The RHONY alum surprised the WWHL host with the latest news about her relationship with her ex.
Bethenny Frankel shared some major news about her years-long divorce proceedings from ex, Jason Hoppy, on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home on September 24. And, it wasn't the news that Andy Cohen was expecting to hear from The Real Housewives of New York City alum.
“Are you and Paul talking marriage?” Andy asked the RHONY OG about her current boyfriend, Paul Bernon, who she has been dating since 2018.
From there, Bethenny noted, “I’m still married," referencing the nearly decade-long divorce battle with her ex-husband. The revelation comes several years after it was reported that they had finalized their divorce in 2016, with her lawyer sharing at that time that "we can confirm that the divorce has been resolved."
That fact that Bethenny is still married stunned the WWHL host, who responded with “You’re killing me.”
Bethenny previously nodded at the fact that she is still married on social media in 2019.
It's been a long road since Bethenny first split. She and Jason announced their separation in December 2012 after marrying in 2010. Together they are parents to a 10-year-old daughter, Bryn.
Last year, Bethenny commented on a custody trial with her ex during WWHL, noting that a resolution looked to be "in the near future. Not so long.".
While Bethenny had long kept Bryn's face off Instagram, she decided to share that aspect of her life with fans on social media back in May as her daughter celebrated her birthday.
"Peanut, I love you so much. You have given me ten years of joy, inspiration, laughter and absolute love. You bring meaning to my life every day. You are such a sweet, loving and sunny person that shines light on everyone around you. You are loved," she wrote in the caption alongside the photo at that time. “I wish for you health and happiness and that you continue to do what you love and what makes you happy every day and let your free spirit fly!”
