Anastasia Surmava Is Engaged and the Below Deck Family Has Feelings About It
The Below Deck Med alum shared the emotional moment her boyfriend popped the question.
She said yes!
Anastasia Surmava is engaged to boyfriend Will Higginson, the couple announced on Instagram earlier this week.
Will, who is British and is a model, according to his Instagram, confirmed the happy news in a post on March 21 that featured a photo of Anastasia giving him a kiss on the cheek as she flashes her elegant engagement ring. "SHE SAID YES!" Will aptly captioned the Instagram post.
The post also features a close-up of Anastasia's ring, followed by a video of the moment Will got down on one knee and popped the question. "I LOVE YOU!!!! MY FIANCÉ," Anastasia gushed in the comments section of her now-fiancé's post.
Anastasia, who served as a stew and chef in Season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean, also announced the engagement by sharing a video of her recent trip to Vermont with Will and friends, which she called "the best weekend of my life" in another post on March 20. "Wait till the end," the Instagram post was simply captioned. Indeed, the video had quite the grand finale, showing the moment Will proposed and the celebration after, which included confetti, champagne, and lots of hugs.
It appears that Anastasia made her relationship with Will Instagram official back in April 2021 (he has a photo of the two of them on his Instagram from February of last year).
Congratulations have been pouring in from the Below Deck family on both Will and Anastasia's Instagram posts. Jessica More, Bugsy Drake, Hannah Ferrier, Courtney Skippon, Brooke Laughton, Alli Dore, Kasey Cohen, Delaney Evans, Tanner Sterback, and Ciara Duggan all showed the newly engaged couple some love in the comments.
Hannah, Jamie Jason, and Anastasia's fellow Below Deck Galley Talk cast member Alex Radcliffe all shared the warmest wishes in their Instagram Stories, which were reposted by Anastasia.
When Bravo Insider caught up with Anastasia's fellow Below Deck Med Season 4 stew Aesha Scott earlier this month, she had the sweetest things to say about the relationship. "I still talk to her quite a bit. And she’s smashing it as well," Aesha told Bravo Insider. "It’s so nice seeing her with Will, her boyfriend. She’s just so in love. So, yeah, that’s really lovely."
