Angie Katsanevas Reveals Why She's Moving & Plans For a New "Modern" House on a "Ranch"
The RHOSLC cast member told The Daily Dish in an exclusive interview why she's selling her house and what's next for her family.
Now that Angie Katsanevas and husband, Shawn Trujillo, are officially moving out of their $4.5 million Salt Lake City home, they have some big plans for the future. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member recently told The Daily Dish that they're moving in order to build a home with more land for their 13-year-old daughter, Elektra, who is an equestrian.
"She has been driving us crazy to have horse property," Angie explained in an exclusive interview earlier this week.
She noted that it's been Elektra's "lifelong dream" to spend "the rest of her childhood living on horse property with dogs and multiple horses, and just living that little ranch life that she dreams of."
Angie shared her daughter was so excited when she found out they were moving out of their family home, that they've lived in since 2020: "[Elektra] said, 'Yay, I get to live the rest of my childhood dream out on a ranch.'"

Angie told The Daily Dish that she and her husband are going to build a "one-level modern home" with "one big open entertaining space where all the square footage is on one level." "My husband loves projects," she explained. "The minute we moved into our last home, Shawn said, 'I have one more home I want to build, and it's all one level.'"
"This would be our third house, and we both like the creative process, we agree on everything," she continued. "We have the same style. We like really minimal, simplistic homes. And we hope that we can make this dream come true for [Elektra]."

Angie revealed that the family will be living in this new house for the rest of Elektra's teenage years. Not only will it have horses for the teenage equestrian to take care of, but she has also taken charge of designing the barn.
"I love the thought of chores for my daughter, and she loves chores with horses," she explained. "She doesn't love to clean her room, but she loves to go out in the morning, feed, groom. She loves animals, so we'll make sure the stable part is very beautiful."
It's safe to say that Elektra has some big plans ahead of her. "She's got plans to plant red roses outside of it. That's her idea," Angie said. "She's picked a dark wood. She wants these really beautiful chandeliers for the interior that she's already picked so she's already got it styled out, so fingers crossed it all works out."

Angie previously gave BravoTV.com a tour of her home, as seen in the video above, where she showed off the 6,400 square-foot home. The home, which is currently on the market, is complete with an all-white open concept kitchen, massive entertaining space, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of their stunning backyard. "I have always dreamt of having an all-white kitchen, and it forces me to keep it very clean," she said in the video above.
Angie told The Daily Dish in September that she is not too worried about having the home sit on the market for too long. "It is a higher priced home in Salt Lake, but in my opinion, it's pristine," she said. "It's a home that anyone could live in, because it's white, it's very simple, clean. So, I think it will sell fast."
