Aesha Scott Details Unaired Moment She “Felt So Sh-tty”: “Almost Ruined the Season”
Hear Aesha Scott unpack a "tantrum" she had off-camera.
It turns out that one of Captain Sandy Yawn's proposed solutions to settle the drama between Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 stews Elena Dubaich and Bri Muller inadvertently resulted in a "tantrum" from none other than Aesha Scott.
The chief stew revealed as much while reflecting on Captain Sandy's aforementioned decision — that Aesha and her then-bunkmate Gael Cameron would switch cabins so Elena and Bri could be separated — during the August 5 episode of the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show.
As Aesha put it, "The day that Sandy told me that I was gonna move cabins, that crushed my soul. Like, that almost ruined the season for me. I was so gutted."
"I knew she was right, I knew that I should — it [was] for the health of the boat, safety, everyone's mental well-being — but then I definitely went and had a little tantrum," Aesha continued. "No one else was around and I think I was holding like some candle or a bowl or something, and I was so upset that I went 'AHH!' and I chucked it on the floor and I just had this massive tantrum. I was being silly but I felt so sh-tty."
How Gael Cameron reacted to Aesha Scott's unaired "tantrum"
Gael, for her part, felt the same way about losing Aesha as her cabin-mate. "However upset they were getting with each other, that's how upset I got internally," she said.
As for why Gael and Aesha managed to hit it off so well, the latter yachtie explained, "I was managing Ellie and Brie, who were so insanely sensitive, that I loved that I could just come into the room and be like, 'You f-cking bitch, curl my hair, let's go.'"
How Aesha Scott feels about her unseen moment today
Ultimately, though, Aesha sees Captain Sandy's choice as "a big learning moment for me as a leader."
"I had to be a boss rather than a friend and follow on with that whole 'for the good of the boat' even though I hated it," she added.
Thankfully, this hasn't been an issue Aesha's run into in the past. As she revealed on the Below Deck Med After Show, "This was the first time in all my whole entire yachting career that I've ever seen stews have to actually leave cabins."
