Aesha Scott Opens Up About a "Very Contentious" Issue at Home: "Quite Appalling"
The Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew shared why her at-home behavior might not be "popular" among most people.
Aesha Scott is ready to talk about a controversial situation in the New Zealand home she shares with her fiancé, Scott "Scotty" Dobson: she puts her shoes on her kitchen counter.
"I want to show a poll about a very contentious issue," the Below Deck Mediterranean cast member began in an October 1 Instagram Story, then exclaiming, "Shoes on the bench!" (The chief stew was talking about her kitchen counter, which, for New Zealanders, is called the "bench.")
"The other day I was running around grabbing stuff about to go to pilates, " the chief stew shared, noting that she then "popped" her pair of sandals on the counter (or "bench!") for a minute and thought about how different she may be compared to others regarding taking that action.
"Some other person in their life may really find that quite appalling," she said. "But it just does not bother me in the slightest."
Aesha then explained that she would even "rub them all around" on the counter, but it still wasn't concerning for her. "I would go as far as to lick the bench and just not care, you know! I would never think about it again in my life! But for some people...that would be the end of it."
Aesha then flashed a poll on her next Instagram Story to prompt her followers to give their take. "I want to know where I sit because I don't think that's the popular opinion," she laughed.
Aesha then put food items on the counter in another Instagram Story to show how much she didn't mind having her shoes up there.
"For people saying, 'What about food prep?' You're not prepping food on your kitchen bench, you mad humans, you use a chopping board!"
"I'm not cutting this carrot right on here!" she stated, putting the carrot on the countertop where it would be cut. "We're using a chopping board!"

Earlier in September, Aesha shared more Instagram Stories showing off her and Scott's New Zealand home, giving her followers a look inside cozy space.
Aesha highlighted her new coffee tables, which she noted were from "an awesome local business."
"I love these so much," Aesha said in the video which showed the cream-colored round coffee tables. "It's got this green little detailing here, which ties in with the cushions, and ties in with outside."
"We've got the second one here that's become our little Lego table at the moment," Aesha laughed. "But I usually put that one over here next to this one."
