Chauncey Is Not Southern Charm(ed) by This New Addition
Don’t even try your tricks on Patricia Altschul’s purebred pug.
When it comes to the award for the world’s best dog mommy, there may be only one woman who can come close to competing with Lisa Vanderpump for the title. And that woman, of course, is Southern Charm’s Patricia Altschul.
However, for all of her grace and good manners, Patricia is not above teasing her dogs. Recently, she did exactly that to Chauncey, who was a gift from her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith.
ICYMI, Chauncey is descended from the only pug ever to have won Best in Show at Westminster. And he is not easily amused as Patricia recently found out when she placed a dancing dog that plays the Southern Charm theme song on the coffee table in front of him.
Chauncey, rather than respond with an encouraging bark, or even a nose butt, merely walked in the other direction. He was over it before he had even had begun. He’s just too well-bred for such nonsense.
After all, not only do Patricia’s dogs sleep in antique dog beds sourced from 18th century France, they are pampered by her full time butler, Michael, whom we can assume serves them food on priceless china. Patricia’s dogs are also the inspiration behind her line of caftans, which anyone can buy for $299.
Although Unleashed has not yet completed an official investigative report tally of how many dogs Patricia actually owns, we can guess that she lives with at least five part of the time — two Pomeranians (Siegfried and Roy) and this Pug (Chauncey), plus a Boxer (Smoochie) and a Lagotto Romagnolo (Monty), the latter two belonging to her son Whitney Sudler-Smith.
Still, dare we say it's Chauncey who is the true lord of the manor? See just why we'd say that with more recent pictures and videos of Chauncey living his splendid life below.
