Meet New Southern Charm-er Ryan Albert, One of Patricia Altschul's Nearest and Dearest
Get to know new Southern Charm cast member Ryan Albert (and his husband, Dr. Eddie Irions!) ahead of Season 10.
Any friend of Patricia Altschul's is a friend of Southern Charm. She's the grande dame of Charleston, after all!
On Season 10 of the series, which is set to premiere December 5, this is all the more obvious, because one of Patricia's nearest and dearest, Ryan Albert, is officially joining the cast alongside other newbies Salley Carson and Molly O'Connell.
According to a press release shared ahead of the premiere, Ryan is "a true Southern gentleman within Charleston’s elite social scene. Along with his husband, Dr. Eddie Irions, he’s among Patricia’s closest friends."
Who is Ryan Albert?
In addition to describing him as a prominent figure in Charleston's elite social scene — an easy role to take when you're one of Patricia's closest friends — Ryan's official Southern Charm cast bio notes that he's "a stay-at-home husband with a penchant for entertaining and hosting."
Ryan's involvement in the series was first teased in May 2024, when Patricia posted a video to her Instagram with the caption "Southern Charm has the best looking men on Bravo." While the other men were instantly recognizable, a new face appeared: That's Ryan!
What does Ryan Albert do for work?
Ryan is a stay-at-home husband by trade, which is one of the best jobs out there. In his free time, he volunteers with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters and spends time with his Portuguese Water Dog, Banks. According to his Instagram account, he's also a world traveler.
What's more, Ryan is currently renovating his and his husband's historic house in downtown Charleston, according to his Southern Charm bio.
Who is Ryan Albert's husband, Dr. Eddie Irions?
Ryan is married to Dr. Eddie Irions, a gastroenterologist based in Charleston. They wed in October 2021.
According to an interview with the Over the Moon blog, they first met when Ryan reached out to Eddie on Instagram and eventually met up together at the Spoleto Festival, a Charleston-based performing arts festival.
“We were both inseparable from that weekend forward,” Ryan explained. “It was as if we had been waiting our entire lives for each other, and we both immediately felt it.”
Southern Charm Season 10 premieres on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
