So, What Does Meghan Markle’s Ex-Husband Have to Say About Her New Baby?
Film director Trevor Engelson was married to the now-Duchess of Sussex for under two years.
Meghan Markle just gave birth to a royal baby boy with Prince Harry and the world is gushing — but one important person from her past isn't talking.
Markle was married to her first husband, film director Trevor Engelson (who also dated Bethenny Frankel), from September 2011 to August 2013, when they split citing irreconcilable differences. And from the sound of it, he's not going to be sending flowers, baby gifts, or any sort of note.
“Trevor doesn’t really think about Meghan, as he’s in a very happy relationship and about to be married,” an anonymous source told Us Weekly. “He will not be reaching out to congratulate them, as Meghan and Trevor no longer speak.” The publication reported that Engelson is currently engaged to dietician Tracey Kurland, who he proposed to shortly after Markle and Prince Harry's nuptials in May 2018.
The royal couple welcomed their first child, a son, on Monday, May 6, their official Instagram confirmed. "We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz," the post said. "The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives."
The post added, "More details will be shared in the forthcoming days."
