Josh Flagg Shares All the Fabulous Details of His Weekly Dinner Parties
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent detailed exactly how he puts together luxurious gatherings for a bevy of celebrity friends.
From candlelit setups in his backyard to over-the-top tablescapes in his dining room, no one hosts a dinner party quite like Josh Flagg. In June, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent shared a peek inside one of his incredible gatherings, and we finally got a closer look at the details on the show's November 18 episode.
"Bobby [Boyd] and I have dinner parties almost on a weekly basis. It's something we like to do, it's fun," Josh said, as he prepared to have friends including Tori Spelling, Adrienne Maloof, Jeff Lewis, and Melissa Rivers, over to his home for dinner.
Of course, everything from the table decor to the food had the couple's signature elegant touch. "I always have old recipes from fabulous restaurants that are long, long gone," Josh explained. "So tonight's dinner is Chasen's. We're having hobo steak, Maude salad, and a coupe Alexander for dessert."
For all of his parties, Josh puts just as much thought into the guest list. "Being a fourth-generation Los Angeleno, I've had the privilege of meeting a lot of different people," he explained. "I generally, for my dinner parties, like to pick out very different people that may or may not know each other, but I know will have something in common."
In a recent interview with BravoTV.com, Josh shared more details on exactly how he prepares for his memorable events at home. "I have a seating chart before every party so that the staff knows everyone’s name [and] their drink of choice ahead of time," he said. "We keep records of everything, so everything goes seamlessly."
"We have photographs of every tablescape, so that means that I don’t have to worry about setting the table. They take the picture, they copy it, and then they put the tablescape [together]," he continued. "We also use something called a 'butler stick,' which we use so that every chair is lined up 14 inches between each other, and every place setting is two inches from the edge of the table."
