Jenna Dewan-Tatum Shares This Skincare Secret With Several Real Housewives
There's a reason all these ladies have glowing skin.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum always looks flawless. Seriously: we can't turn away from her huge green eyes, radiant smile, and dewy skin. (We're sure her hubby Channing knows what we're talking about here.) But, the down-to-earth mom is the first to admit that she has skincare concerns just like anyone else.
On Monday, the World of Dance judge posted a #nofilter, mostly makeup-free selfie to Instagram, and let her fans in on the secret behind her glow.
The actress and singer shared that she has melasma, a common skin condition causing gray-brown patches, usually on the face. The dark spots can be tough to manage, which is why Dewan-Tatum has become a regular at the office of Doctor Simon Ourian.
To treat Dewan-Tatum's melasma, the doc uses a laser treatment called coolaser. In her Instagram post, the dancer and actress referred to the procedure as "magical," but there's a bit more than pixie dust that goes into the quick service.
According to Dermatology Laser, the 10-to-15-minute treatment starts with the application of a special device that cools the face and neck. Light pulses are flashed onto the surface of the skin, which helps remove a teeny fraction of damaged skin and helps promote the growth of new cells. Ultimately, the treatment can result in less visible wrinkles and a more even-looking skin tone.
Also: we're wondering if Dewan-Tatum has run into any Bravolebs in Dr. Ourian's waiting room. The Beverly Hills-based cosmetic dermatologist has quite the star-studded client list. He treats Real Housewives such as Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Porsha Williams, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and Cynthia Bailey — and multiple Kardashians.
Whatever Dewan-Tatum is doing, it's working! And this certainly sounds less scary than the Vampire Facial.
