Captain Lee Rosbach Reveals What Makes Rachel Hargrove Such a Great Chef
The Below Deck captain listed the unique qualities that make Rachel an incredible chef.
Although their professional relationship has endured some ups and downs, Captain Lee Rosbach has nothing but great things to say about Rachel Hargrove's ability as a chef.
"It's not only the way that she prepares her food," the Below Deck captain explained on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in the video above. "It's the way she presents it and her knowledge of flavors and how to blend them together and then explain it in layman's terms so that the guests can actually understand what they're eating."
"She has a lot of pride in what she does," he added. "And it shows."
This isn't the first time Captain Lee has raved about Rachel's food. When a Twitter user asked him in December 2020 to name his favorite food a chef has ever cooked, he replied: "Rachel's French Toast is over the top."
Her dinners are equally impressive. When Rachel prepared a seafood spread on the show's January 12 episode, Captain Lee was blown away. "I've never seen so many dead lobster in one spot," he said in an interview. "This seafood extravaganza has definitely got the 'vaganza.'"
As fans will remember from last season, the seafood extravaganza is a bit of a high-pressure meal. When chef Kevin Dobson planned to cook fish that he hoped the charter guests at the time would catch that day, Kate Chastain explained, "Even if they do catch something, it'll just be extra to the extravaganza. You gotta provide the 'vaganza.'"
