Captain Sandy Hit a Favorite L.A. Restaurant with Below Deck Mediterranean Blasts from the Past
Below Deck Mediterranean captain Sandy Yawn took some former charter guests to Los Angeles favorite Dan Tana's.
As she revealed in the clip above, Captain Sandy Yawn sticks to a diet of espresso, Red Bull, and Peanut M&M's while on charter. (Energizing meal of champs!) But when she's on land in her new home base of Los Angeles, the Below Deck Mediterranean boss — who just went public with a new love interest — has a go-to spot for somewhat more substantial meals. And you might be surprised at the company she keeps there. (Sorry, it's not the hot GF this time.)
In a recent Instagram Story, Sandy came at followers live from Dan Tana's. A Santa Monica standby for 50 years, the cozy Italian spot is spruced with checked tablecloths, hanging baskets, and fairy lights. It also has a cozy menu of comfort foods like spaghetti with meatballs and eggplant Parmesan. (The Jersey 'Wives would be proud.)
"Hey! I'm at Dan Tana's and I'm here with charter number one, and charter number five. You guys remember that? Season 2, Croatia," Sandy said. "Charter number one, Monica, and charter number five, Angela and Aubrey! And we're at Dan Tana's." (Feeling binge-y, and not just for meatballs? Sandy added, "If you haven't tried it, come to L.A., try Dan Tana's." This isn't the first time the captain has sung the restaurant's praises. Speaking to The Feast shortly after she moved to Los Angeles in 2018, the captain named Dan Tana's and Craig's as two of her go-to spots.
