Lisa Vanderpump & Andy Cohen Just Created the Cutest Spatulas for the Best Reason
The Bravo talent are teaming up with a slew of other celebrities for No Kid Hungry.
Are you ready for some alarming facts? Right now, more than 12 million children in the United States struggle with hunger, one in six is living with hunger, and 22 million kids currently rely on free or subsidized school lunches.
If this doesn’t sit well with you, you’re not alone. Luckily, non-profit organization Share Our Strength has a campaign dubbed No Kid Hungry that is raising money to put an end to childhood hunger. Williams-Sonoma is supporting the effort with a line of celebrity-designed spatulas, where 30 percent of the profits are donated back to the non-profit. Among the luminaries to contribute a design? Bravo’s very own Andy Cohen and Lisa Vanderpump!
“As a new dad, it’s important to me more than ever to make sure all kids get the food they need to grow up healthy and strong,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host said. “I’m fortunate to have a platform that reaches millions and believe I have a responsibility to shine more light on the issue of childhood hunger in the U.S and encourage my fans to help No Kid Hungry reach more kids in need.”
Added the Vanderpump Rules head honcho, “Giggy and I are so excited to share the new spatula we designed to support #WSNoKidHungry! 1 in 6 kids in the US is hungry. The purchase of 1 spatula helps provide up to 40 healthy meals to children in need. You can buy one and #GetGiggyWithIt at williams-sonoma.com/nokidhungry.”
Comprised of a BPA-free silicone head and an ergonomically-shaped beech wood handle, the spatulas retail for a reasonable $14.95. Andy’s design features a jazzy red, yellow, green, and blue horizontal stripes; Lisa’s is a hilarious cartoon drawing of her beloved dog Giggy, accompanied by the hashtag #GetGiggyWithIt.
