Tom Schwartz Reveals Jo Wenberg Was Part of His Platinum Blond Hair Switch
The Vanderpump Rules cast member explained how the hairstylist and his onetime roommate had a role in his bold new ’do.
On August 15, Tom Schwartz gathered with some pals at SUR for a special fundraiser to help provide aid for the Maui wildfires. Included in the mix were Katie Maloney, Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, and Lala Kent, as well as James Kennedy, who was living his best DJ life at the event.
While we loved watching videos of the Vanderpump Rules cast coming together for a good cause, we were stopped in our Instagram Story tracks when James’ longtime pal Logan Noh shared a clip that revealed Tom’s striking new platinum blond hair.
Tom took off his baseball cap to show off his brand-new ’do, and we couldn’t help but wonder: Was this a temporary look? Was it for a special reason? Or was this the start of a whole new chapter in Tom’s life?

As it turns out, Tom’s new blond hair may be here to stay for a bit, and he had a couple of people to thank for the fresh hue.
“Hit me with the Draco Malfoy,” the Schwartz & Sandy’s partner captioned an August 20 photo of himself posing with his former roommate Jo Wenberg and hairstylist/colorist Lena Mar Ritz. “Thank you for the new [’do.]” In addition to making a hilarious reference to the platinum blond Harry Potter character, Tom invited fans to “come check out” Hair Boss Salon, where Jo ostensibly works and where she helped him make the hair transition.
Salon owner Ritz also shared photos of Tom’s “after” look, explaining the process in detail.
Tom shared another look at his new style in an additional post, sharing that he was on a “blond ambition mission.”

So, what exactly is happening between Tom and Jo? Previously, it was confirmed that newly single Tom was living with Jo following his split from Katie Maloney. He went on to describe his pal as “hilarious, beautiful, talented, Jo’s the sh-t,” adding that they briefly had a “situationship.” These days, it seems their situation involves hairstyling.
