Katie Maloney Is “Ready for a Girls Night” in a Super Short Miniskirt & Boots
The Vanderpump Rules cast member’s sexy-cool ’90s style gave us the perfect outfit inspo for a night out.
Katie Maloney always has a fresh take on casual-cool style.
Take earlier in July, for instance, when the Vanderpump Rules cast member rocked a black menswear-style vest and matching wide-legged slacks with white pinstripes. “Business woman special,” Katie wrote over the snap, making a reference to a hilarious scene from the 1997 comedy Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.
In addition to showing off her laid-back yet utterly chic look, Katie recorded a video to explain the thought process behind her outfit. “So, how do you dress… professional when it’s almost 90 degrees outside?” she began. “Everything I want to wear is, you know, a little slutty, so… this is the best I could do. But it is pants! This is [the] business woman special. This is how I do business woman.”
When she’s not bringing out her “business woman” side, she’s enjoying a night out with the gals — in serious style, no less.

“So ready for a girls night,” Katie wrote over a stylish mirror selfie on July 26 in which she rocked an oversize black button-down shirt tucked into a light blue micro miniskirt covered in a darker blue pattern.
The sandwich shop co-owner added various ’90s-inspired elements to her look (something she’s particularly keen on, as evidenced by her most recent Natalie Imbruglia–inspired haircut). Katie rocked a silver chain on her miniskirt, as well as small silver hoop earrings, a silver chain necklace, and black motorcycle boots.
We also couldn’t help but notice the beautiful, bohemian-style decor in the background of Katie’s mirror selfie, the likes of which you can check out in the above video tour of her California apartment.
Katie Maloney’s Hair Evolution Over the Years
We absolutely love the latest ’90s-inspired chop Katie has been rocking. The recent beauty move had us thinking about the hair changes she’s gone through over the years (which we covered here).
Prior to her “Torn” haircut, Katie had a chin-grazing bob, a sexy lob, ultra-long waves, and, back in Season 2, a “blonde-ification” moment.
Katie spoke to StyleCaster in 2015 about the short-lived look, saying she wanted to “be a platinum blonde” someday.
“It’s so hard on your hair. I have really thick, strong hair, so it could almost take it, but the amount of upkeep,” she said at the time. “For being really into beauty and makeup, I’m also super low-maintenance. I think that I would get totally fed up of having to constantly go in and get my hair touched up. I would like to experiment with hair color more, but I just don’t know if that’s just a dream I have to give up.”
