Katie Maloney wasted no time embracing the Halloween spirit.
On September 17, the Vanderpump Rules cast member took to Instagram to show off a piece of spooky decor she had purchased for her Los Angeles home. Although it was technically summer at the time, Katie proudly displayed the plastic skeleton on one of her doors, which gave fans some early — but much-appreciated — Halloween inspo.
Fast-forward to Sunday, October 1, when the former SURver unveiled more ghoulish accent pieces. She posted an Instagram Story that highlighted an adorable set of ghost figurines she placed inside her apartment. The items went perfectly with Katie’s eccentric yet cozy interior design, specifically the black-and-white checkered rug she has in her living room.
How Katie Maloney Kicked off October
Just two hours later, Katie gave fans an inside look at how she spent the first day of October. The cozy night included some festive baked treats and a classic movie that offered a hefty dose of nostalgia. The Park City, Utah, native posted a Story that showed a box of Pillsbury cookie dough placed on her counter. However, they weren’t just ordinary sugar cookies; they were the read-to-bake seasonal version that featured cute a Jack-o’-lantern design.
Katie presumably enjoyed the snacks while watching the 1995 Halloween flick, Casper, starring Christina Ricci. The Vanderpump Rules cast member shared a clip from the film in a subsequent post, which was simply captioned, “lol.”
Katie Maloney's Past Halloween Decor
2023 will mark Katie’s second Halloween in her LA abode. Before the move, Katie lived in a beautiful Village Valley home with her now ex-husband, Vanderpump Rules' Tom Schwartz. The former couple would go all out once the spooky season rolled around, and would take to social media to show off their next-level decor.
In 2019, Tom posted a video that showcased their home’s front porch area, which was adorned with stacked skulls, a large Jack-o’-latern, three black pumpkins, as well as a decorative orange wreath on the door. The bar owner then took fans inside the living room, where he and Katie displayed a skeleton with red eyes and a towering ghoulish figure that illuminated the space.
Two years later, Tom posted photos of their home’s decorated backyard, which featured a massive skeleton and fake spiderwebs that were attached to the trees. He also shared a look at the interior decorations, including a glowing Jack-o’-lantern with a black cat, pumpkin trinkets on the kitchen counter, and an orange leafy garland that Katie wrapped around the staircase.
“October hype,” Tom captioned the post, “best month and you know this mannnnn.”
