Katie Maloney-Schwartz Writes an Emotional Goodbye to Her House: “This One Hurts”
The Vanderpump Rules cast member reflected on “closing this chapter” after moving out of the home she shared with Tom Schwartz.
Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz recently moved out of their Valley Village abode, and in a June 8 Instagram post, Katie opened up about leaving the home that was filled with memories from the former Vanderpump Rules couple’s time there.
“I hate goodbyes. And this one hurts a lot,” Katie captioned a photo of her sitting on the floor in an empty room. “The emotions and words are hard to pin down. Closing this chapter on my life feels like attending my own funeral. But I’m very much alive.”
“Thank you house for being the coziest brightest home, for the memories, for being my sanctuary, for letting me dress you up like a [Hallmark] movie set at Christmas and for being OURS,” she continued in the post, tagging Tom. “I’m going to miss coming home.”
One day earlier, Tom shared a peek at his moving experience in an Instagram Story video. Showing a moving truck and several piled boxes, he wrote, “It’s official old buddy.”
After Katie and Tom confirmed their split in March, they continued to live together in the home they purchased in 2019. “It’s been the best-case scenario I could possibly imagine or hope for,” Katie explained on her You’re Gonna Love Me podcast in March. “We’re still figuring out the next steps. I don’t think we’re going to live together forever.”
