Katie Maloney Has a New Business Venture, and Ariana Madix Is "OBSESSED"
The Vanderpump Rules cast member is here to help up your manicure game, earning raves from her Something About Her partner.
If you ask Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney has totally nailed her latest business venture. It's true that the Vanderpump Rules cast members are working to get their hotly anticipated sandwich shop, Something About Her, off the ground. But in the meantime, they're both working on other projects — including Katie's new launch in the beauty category.
In an October 26 Instagram post, Katie shared a professional photo of herself with her hands over her face. She was sporting a dark, gorgeous manicure, which ties in handily with her caption."KATIE MALONEY x QUICKIES," she wrote. announcing her partnership with a brand of press-on nails that markets itself as: "for girls/gays/theys."
She added: "Mark your calendars, the [Katie Maloney] x [QUICKIES] press-on nail capsule collection drops Nov. 1st, 2023 at 9AM PST/12PM EST exclusively at getquickies.com."
It sounds like someone is already saving the date. In the comments, Katie's pal Ariana hopped in to write: "The way I'm OBSESSED with this," adding a heart-eyed emoji.
Katie Maloney's new beauty venture in the manicure space
It makes sense that Katie would partner with Quickies. The former SUR-ver has given us a taste of her above-par manicure style in the past several weeks, posting Instagram snaps that showcase her Quickies styles.
In her Instagram Stories from the late summer, Kate shared a look at a manicure with a light pink background, silver swirls, and round silver stud embellishments. The nail savant credited Quickies for the convenient manicure.
On September 18, Katie took to her Instagram Stories yet again to share a look at her fresh press-on manicure from the brand. “Popped on some nails [from Quickies] and I feel hot again,” she wrote over a video of her new nails.
The style was similar to the aforementioned manicure, with a long almond shape, a pinkish background that faded into a soft white, and silver swirl designs.
When does Something About Her open?
So, when will Katie be using her freshly manicured hands to make the hottest sandwiches in West Hollywood? Ariana recently shared an update on Something About Her.
"I know that there's a lot of rumors and a lot of talk and a lot of trolling on the internet, but I'm telling you, we are opening soon," Ariana said on TalkShopLive. The dancing buff noted that while the "inside is so beautiful," she and her business partners had to "deal with this outside stuff," including nixing the front patio.
"I know people are like, 'But what do you mean? You already got rid of the patio once the city said to get rid of the patio.' But now that the entire facade of the building has changed, we have to have an awning completely redone to fit the new facade of the building. But in order to do that, you have to have a permit for the awning. You have to permit the sign. It's a process."
Ariana quipped: "'Open a little cute sandwich shop,' they said, 'It'll be fun!', they said. And then you get through all the red tape and everything and you realize, oh, OK, it's not so simple as making sandwiches and decorating the inside. It's a whole situation with all of it, but we are plugging away and we will be open soon, I promise."
