Vanderpump Rules’ Midseason Trailer Gives a Major Update on Katie & Ariana’s Sandwich Shop

Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney are one step closer to opening their sandwich shop!
Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules has documented the business partners in the process of creating their eatery, Something About Her. On the show’s February 22 episode, Ariana and Katie checked out a potential location for the sandwich shop, and although it was a “strong contender,” they both wanted to check out “one or two other spots.”
In the Vanderpump Rules midseason trailer above, Ariana and Katie share an exciting update. “We got the space!” they exclaim in the clip, which gives a peek inside their future location. Tom Schwartz, who at the time is in the process of trying to open Schwartz & Sandy’s with Tom Sandoval, seems a bit concerned, asking, “Are they gonna open before us?”
As we know, Schwartz & Sandy’s finally opened in November 2022, and according to Something About Her’s official Instagram account, the sandwich shop is “coming [in] 2023.”
During the February 22 episode, Ariana shared how watching Schwartz and Sandoval struggle to get their doors open influenced the way she and Katie are approaching their business. “Since almost a year ago, Katie and I came up with this idea to open a sandwich shop together,” she said in an interview. “What I’ve learned the most about watching Tom and Tom go through this process of trying to open Schwartz & Sandy’s is not to just jump into it without having everything laid out and prepared ahead of time.”
“Another thing I’ve learned,” she added, “is don’t use your own money.”
In the same episode, Katie opened up about how she was inspired to start the business. “The restaurant industry is literally in my blood. My mom ran a restaurant in Utah the whole time I was growing up,” she shared. “So I knew when I wanted to open a business, it had to be food, but I didn’t want to do a bar or a big fancy sit-down restaurant. So a sandwich shop that also served drinks was the best of both worlds.”
