Charli Burnett Ate Pasta for the First Time in Her Life — Here's What Happened
The Vanderpump Rules SURVer decided to finally give it a shot, and it did not go well.
For Charli Burnett, it's really not about the pasta.
On Vanderpump Rules' February 25 episode, the SURver shocked us all when she revealed she had never eaten pasta in her life. Following the episode airing, Charli decided to give the food a try.
During a Pump The Brakes interview, host Brett Kenyon (who has been a server at both SUR and Tom Tom) ended a game the two were playing by offering Charli her prize: microwavable three-cheese ziti marinara and microwavable macaroni & cheese. Never one to mince words, she called the meal her "literal worst nightmare."
As the conversation progressed, Charli revealed that she gave pasta a shot recently, and clearly, she doesn't feel like she had been missing out on a lifetime of the Italian dish. "I don't f--k with it," she said. "I don't like it at all."
Pasta is an oddly notable source of contention on the show. In addition to making for incredibly awkward date conversation between Charli and Brett, James Kennedy and Lala Kent also got into an explosive fight over the food when the DJ took issue with Lala eating pasta offmRaquel Leviss' plate. The screaming match led to James declaring his now-iconic line: "It's not about the pasta!"
Charli's opinion on pasta is just one of many that have made her castmates do a double take throughout this season. In a recent episode, she described her dream wedding as one that involves going to a drive-thru chapel in Las Vegas. During a Vanderpump Rules After Show episode, Charli elaborated on the hypothetical nuptials. "I just thought it would be really fun [for] me and my fiancé to get, like, annihilated, we go to the strip club, we find, like, the craziest stripper we can find, we head over to the drive-thru in a red or pink Cadillac. . .and we get married." When Scheana Shay asked through laughter why the stripper would be in attendance, Charli matter-of-factly explained: "Because you have to have one witness."
