Ariana Madix is a Bravoleb who proves that even the subtlest hair changes can be stunning and impactful. Though the Vanderpump Rules cast member hasn’t had a slew of dramatic hairstyles (unlike, say, Dorit Kemsley or Cynthia Bailey), she has made more low-key changes to her hair over the years that have still managed to have a striking effect on her overall look. Ariana first entered the Bravoverse for Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules. At the time, she had sandy blonde hair, which she most often wore in a straight style that tumbled past her shoulders.

For her 30th birthday, which was broadcast in Season 4, Ariana rocked a pair of pink buns (and a little unicorn horn).
By 2016, Ariana Madix was rocking a short bob haircut
“I’ve been thinking about cutting my hair off for years and years,” Ariana told BravoTV.com in 2016 (watch the video above to see). However, “once I sat down in the chair and [my hairstylist] started to cut the back of it, I honestly didn’t even really have any emotions about it,” she continued. The result: a stunning, chin-length bob that became Ariana’s signature look for years.

Ariana’s hair got freshened up with an even lighter blonde hue in March 2019. She posted a stunning photo of her platinum bob to Instagram, tagging hairstylist Bradley Leake, who works with a number of Vanderpump Rules cast members.

In early March 2020, Ariana and her cast mates attended a costume party hosted by their friend and jeweler, Kyle Chan. The theme was Anime AF, and everyone delivered with the looks. For her part, Ariana donned a shoulder-length lime-green wig with bangs, which she accessorized with a headband.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring of 2020, lots of people had to embrace their natural hair colors (whether they wanted to or not) due to hair salon closures. Ariana, too, decided to go back to her roots. In an April 2020 Instagram selfie, she showed a look at her natural hair color. When a fan asked Ariana in the comments section, "Is that your natural hair color?" she replied, "Yep naturally dirty blonde."

During the Season 8 reunion, which was held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic, Ariana rocked her sleek blonde lob and her visible "dirty blonde" roots.

Following the release of her first book in December 2020 and the subsequent book tour, Ariana started styling her often-darker hued hair with a "money piece" — a.k.a., two very light strands in the front of her hair.
In November 2021, Ariana snapped a selfie in the styling chair after getting the rest of her hair lightened up by hairstylist Alysa Pace. “It’s the money piece for me,” Ariana captioned the shot, which showed off the lightened strands around her face.

In early 2022, Ariana returned to Pace’s chair to get a bit of a color refresh. She kept the money piece as part of her lighter look, but she was also sporting a longer style that went just past her shoulders.

At BravonCon in October 2022, Ariana was sporting a darker hair color with more warmth than her natural ash blonde hue. She was wearing her hair longer too, and in loose, chest-length waves.

By the reunion taping in spring 2023, Ariana had lightened her hair again. In an April 2023 Instagram post, she showed off her collar bone-length straight cut, which came courtesy of Pace. Of course, she had an unforgettable fiery red ab-baring dress to match her sharp hairstyle.

“The only thing in my camera roll lately that isn’t dancing-related,” the DWTS contestant captioned a September 22 Instagram photo of her chest-length hair, which featured a money piece.
