Karen Huger Shares All the Beauty Secrets Behind Her Iconic Interview Look
The Real Housewives of Potomac grande dame gave us a little peek at the behind-the-scenes magic that brought this "masterpiece," complete with shag haircut.
Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Potomac is well underway, and along with the fresh drama, the ladies are serving some seriously dramatic styles — especially when it comes to their interviews. But one interview look that truly stopped us in our tracks was on none other than the grande dame herself, Karen Huger.
The perfume entrepreneur entered the new season with a bang and a bowl cut that is already reaching iconic status. Now, in the video above, Karen and her glam squad are sharing some of the details behind her legendary new style.
"I just want you to look subtle but still dramatic," Karen's makeup artist Tatiana Ward explained in the clip. Tatiana has been responsible for some of Karen's most flawless beauty moments. For Karen's interview look that included a sorbet-hued dress with exaggerated, off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, Tatiana conjured up what she's coined as "sunset eyes" with shades of gold, orange, and purple. The smoldering smoky shadow effect is coupled with bronzy touches and a soft, pink lip.
For Karen's memorable short shag, she turned to celeb hairstylist Steven Thomas. It was Steven, apparently, who convinced her to go for the shorter, playful 'do. "I was thinking of salsa," he confessed with a shimmy to complement her dramatic arms in the festive ensemble.
Well, if he was going for a head-turning hairstyle that we wouldn't forget, he succeeded.
