Emily Simpson Just Committed to This New Diet After Gaining 20 Pounds
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom is trying a new diet plan — and her kiddos are helping her stay accountable.
Emily Simpson has always been refreshingly honest with her followers, and that includes letting them in on her struggles with arthritis. In recent Instagram posts, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom has been open about the recent weight gain she's experienced after physical pain prevented her from working out as much as she'd like to.
But now, Emily has good news to share. She's found a new diet plan that she's excited to get started on, and she's totally committed to following the program for its entire three months.
In her June 10 Stories, the Orange County mama shared that she was about to begin a food plan that was cooked up for her by a fitness expert named Paulina. "So, you guys, this food plan and this 12 week program is really important to me, because, you probably know if you've followed me for awhile, I have really bad arthritis, my hip is killing me, and I just need to get some weight off to make me feel better," she shared.
In another capture, Emily shared a few more incentives for sticking with the clean-eating program. "I've got to get some weight off so I can play with my kids, be more mobile with less pain, oh, and fit back into my clothes," she wrote.
Taking a peek at Paulina's website, we got a few hints at what Emily's new food plan might entail. It seems that she offers her clients a daily diet plan, as well as a list of heathy food swaps, a nutrition guide, and a grocery list. Probably not on that list? Cookies — and Paulina's not the only one making sure Emily doesn't reach for tempting sweets while she's working on cleaning up her diet.
In another Story, Emily showed her son — one of the very kiddos who keeps her motivated in the first place — eating a cookie. When she asked him for a bite, he firmly declined her request. "Good answer!" Emily joked. "That's how you keep mom on her diet."
