The Real Housewives of Orange County newbie Braunwyn Windham-Burke generally adjusted easily to life behind the camera — having been a superfan of the franchise since it began. But she did find one particular element of the experience was a bit of a learning curve, she told The Feast at Bravo HQ in Los Angeles.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"When we first started, I did" feel awkward about eating on camera, she told The Feast. "And then as I got used to it, I got more comfortable. But in the beginning I was just too nervous that I was going to spill! I was too scared."

She explained she found a way to sneak some snacks during breaks: "They would stop rolling, or like, do our mics or batteries," and she'd grab a quick bite as fast as possible off camera.

Like her cast mate Tamra Judge, Braunwyn experienced another consumption challenge during filming: the copious drinking that happens when the ladies are together. "When we’re out and filming," she said, "I drank tequila like it was water."

And that's not like her at all: "When I’m at home, we don’t even keep alcohol in the house because I don't drink it."

Catch a sneak peek at the new season, which premieres on August 6, in the clip above.
