Gina Kirschenheiter’s Boyfriend Travis Has a New Look That’s “Like a Different Person”
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member’s love changed his appearance in a major way — and his kids barely recognized him.
A wager in the Kirschenheiter-Mullen household ended in a new look for one family member. On July 6, Gina Kirschenheiter explained on Instagram that her boyfriend, Travis Mullen, had lost a bet with their children, which meant he had to lose a signature part of his appearance: his beard.
“I’m so nervous!” The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member wrote on an Instagram Story prior to her love — whom fans have only ever seen with a full dark beard on the show — picking up the razor. “Trav’s going clean cut!” She continued in a video: “I don’t know if I agree with it, but he promised the kids. It was a bet with the kids, and now he has to honor his bet.”
After Travis emerged with a clean-shaven face, his family had lots of opinions on his new appearance. Gina felt he looked “like a different person.” The verdict from the couple’s children: “He looks goofy!” (Gina had to admit, “I don’t disagree.”)
She later posted a photo of herself and her nearly unrecognizable partner. “When [your] man shaves his facial hair and it’s literally like being with a new person,” she captioned the snapshot.
The last time we saw Travis’ beard in all its glory was last week, when he and Gina posed for an Instagram photo all dressed up for a wedding. In the pic, Gina looked radiant in a violet strapless David Koma minidress with a high slit and sparkling silver stiletto sandals. Travis was dapper in a charcoal suit, dark tie, and boutonniere.
“Amazing time,” Gina posted on June 28 of the celebration. “So amazing to be part of a family that accepts my kids as their own.” She added the hashtag “blended family.”
