Emily Simpson Exposes Her Hip Surgery Scar in a Black Swimsuit
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom showed how her post-hip replacement surgery scar is healing while lounging in swimwear.
Emily Simpson has quickly become one of our favorite body-positive heroes. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom has been very open about her journey to self-love and learning to embrace her beautiful curves, and she has no problem showing the world who she is — scars and all.
On May 4, Emily shared a look at the scar left over from her hip replacement surgery in October 2019. In the Instagram Stories snap, Emily appeared from the waist down sporting a black ruched one-piece swimsuit while lounging by her lagoon-style pool in her incredible backyard. The sexy one-piece (which looks fairly similar to the curve-flattering swimsuit Emily designed with Lizzie Rovsek) revealed Emily's large scar which goes from her hip down to her thigh.
While Emily has shared glimpses of the incision area in the past, including a photo just days after her surgery, this is the first time we've seen a close-up look at the healed mark, which shows just how invasive the procedure was.
