Emily Simpson Reveals She's "Lost Significant Body Fat and Several Inches"
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom reflects on her fitness transformation over the past year.
It has been a year since Emily Simpson embarked on a new fitness journey with trainer Paulina Taylor Hefferan, and her perseverance has certainly paid off. With grueling morning workouts, Rocky-inspired fitness sessions, and even battling through a "quarantine funk," The Real Housewives of Orange County mom has lost a whopping 15 pounds. However, this experience didn't just change Emily's physical state — it transformed her mindset as well.
In an Instagram post from June 14, Emily reflected on her journey with Hefferan. "Wow, where do I start. I started my fitness journey with @paulinastein 1 year ago and it was the best decision I’ve made for myself," she wrote. "Not only have I lost significant body fat and several inches, but I’ve gained a new found [sic] acceptance of my body."
She continued, "I don’t weigh myself very often because the number on the scale doesn’t define me as a person nor is it wholly indicative of progress." Instead, Emily explained, she measures her progress and health by other methods "such as endurance, strength, how many times I can walk up the Salt Creek Hill in one day and how I look in my clothes."
In addition to the notable changes in her appearance, Emily shared, "Most importantly I’ve changed mentally." She wrote, "I’ve learned that weight loss doesn’t have to be all in or nothing, you just have to do 1 thing better than the day before. The key to long term results is consistency and having someone in your corner cheering you on!"
And the RHOC attorney is just getting started. "My journey is FAR from over and far from perfect," she added. "I have my own struggles. We all do. However, I am thankful I have Paulina’s guidance, support, and accountability to constantly fuel my fire to become the best version of me. 1 year down and a lifetime to go!"
