Leah McSweeney Has the Best Response to Luann Shading Her Apartment
The RHONY newbie is proving to have the best sense of humor...and extremely high ceilings.
When Luann de Lesseps visited Leah McSweeney’s apartment for the first time on the May 14 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, she didn’t have the most enthusiastic reaction.
In an interview during the episode, which you can check out above, Luann said, “Do you really want to know?” when asked what she thought of Leah’s downtown apartment. “Oh boy. Um. Let’s see,” she said. Finally, after a long pause, she offered, “I love how humble she is.”
Despite Luann’s shady response, Leah doesn’t seem to be too bothered with what the Countess thinks of her digs. “I didn’t take it too personally,” Leah said in an interview with BravoTV.com. “I mean, I said this early on when they were like, making fun of my hat. Like, you can make fun of my outfit, just don’t come for my character, you know what I mean? I don’t even care.”
Besides the fact that Leah’s pretty good at just letting things roll off her shoulder, she also doesn’t think that Luann understands the appeal of living in downtown Manhattan.
“I don’t think she gets it. Like, I don’t think she gets Financial District-type apartments,” explained Leah. “High ceilings! You know, not Upper East Side townhouse-type shit. She just doesn’t get it.”
Leah also playfully clapped back at Luann’s comments in an Instagram post, using shade so subtle, you may have missed it. “I’m so excited for everyone to meet my sister @lilmcsweeney tomorrow on RHONY. She comes over to my humble abode to chat so make sure you tune in tomorrow.”
Her younger sister, Sarah jumped in, too, writing, “I can’t believe I even went over to that sh-t hole,” in the comments section. The McSweeney sisters definitely have the best sense of humor.
