Here's the Special Way Yolanda Hadid's “Grandson" Is Helping Her Decorate Her Home
The RHOBH alum also showed off her spa-like bathroom and "dream closet."
When it came to building her dream home, Yolanda Hadid wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum demonstrated this on Friday, November 1, when she posted several photos of her gorgeous patio. The throwback snaps showed Yolanda putting personal touches on the stone floor as her adorable “grandson” watched on.
“Some of my favorite creative stone carpet details with special assistance from my grandson Dexter,” she captioned the photo of her and the family dog.
Yolanda’s son, Anwar Hadid, adopted Dexter back in 2020 with his then-girlfriend Dua Lipa.
Yolanda Hadid shares a peek at her DIY outdoor project
The Instagram photos captured Yolanda sitting on the floor while strategically placing small black stones between the patio tiles. She spoke about the project during a recent home tour for Architectural Digest, where she showed off all the stunning details of her Texas ranch.
Yolanda said the patio was inspired by the Mexican home she built roughly 20 years ago.
“I wanted to recreate this here,” she said while highlighting the outdoor flooring. “As you see, it’s a stone carpet with little flowers. That’s the stuff I love to do. I just sat here with my knees on the pillow and just laid these little rocks. And that’s the creative part of building a house that I really love. I’m hands-on. I’ve been on the job site every day, building this house, working with my incredible crew from Texas. It was a beautiful experience.”
Yolanda showcases her and her fiancé's primary bathroom
Yolanda, who shares the home with her fiancé, Joseph Jingoli, recently showcased her spa-like bathroom. The Dutch-born mother of three shared pictures of the room’s construction phase and the jaw-dropping results, specifically highlighting the his-and-hers standing shower and custom bathtub made from platinum quartzite.
“This is the first time I designed my own bathtub,” she told AD. “It came out beautiful. It’s just a little skinny but it’s super comfortable and I’m very proud of it. I love the platform with the light at night… It’s very moody… It’s just a beautiful ambiance and feeling in here.”

On October 29, Yolanda gave special attention to her “dream closet,” which she designed alongside Italian firm Molteni&C. The Instagram carousel showcased the closet’s floor-to-ceiling shelving units, the center vanity, and a seating area featuring Timothy Oulton chairs, a cowhide rug, and a vintage trunk.
“This is my dream closet,” the former ’Wife said during the home tour. “I’ve been dreaming of this my whole life and I finally put it together. I gave my design to a company called Molteni from Italy and they just do extraordinary work. I just love the simplicity and modern lines of their work.
“I love to sit here with Joey, you know? We have conversations here,” she continued. “It’s not just a closet where you have clothes. It’s a space where we communicate and hang out. It has a lot of character, I think.”
