This RHONY OG Just Welcomed the New Cast to the Family
During BravoCon 2022, Jill Zarin told the RHONY newbies that they’ll have the “time of [their] lives” on the show.
The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14 cast members have officially been revealed, and though the seven ladies are all new to the show, they can learn a thing or two from the alums who came before them.
Jill Zarin, who appeared on the first four seasons of the show, and who recently appeared on Season 2 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, certainly knows all about the RHONY experience.
During the October 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Andy and the RHONY OG welcomed the new cast members (clip above): Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Ubah Hassan.
“It is so wonderful to see you holding apples,” Andy told the cast members.
The WWHL host noted that the Season 14 cast members have “big shoes to fill” thanks to RHONY alums like Jill. The OG offered her well wishes to the cast members. “You guys are going to have the time of your lives,” the New Yorker told the newbies on WWHL. “Good luck!”
Though the seven Season 14 cast members are all new to RHONY, most of them are very familiar with the franchise. During a Q&A at the WWHL After Show, a fan asked if the newbies had ever watched the show before they joined the cast. “Hell yeah,” Jenna said.
Sai agreed: “We are all pretty much junkies of the Housewives franchise, or else we would not be here.”
In a chat with E! News, Sai said Season 14 will feel “new and refreshing” for RHONY fans — but that doesn’t mean they won’t engage in the kind of drama viewers saw during the first 13 seasons.
“You’ll get a few eye rolls every now and then, I’m sure,” Sai said. “But this is definitely going to be something new and refreshing.”
Now that fans know more about what to expect from the upcoming RHONY season, some are interested in finding out where things stand with RHONY’s throwback iteration. A BravoCon audience member asked Andy for an update during the Q&A.
“What we were really focused on was finding our new group of New York Housewives. We have found them; we are so excited about them, and now we are going to get into legacy,” he said during the WWHL After Show Q&A. “It’s the best of all possible worlds.”
