Melissa and Joe Gorga Went "Back to Capri" with an Italy-Inspired Bash at Home (PICS)
The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple are expert entertainers, and their latest party proves it.
Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe are expert entertainers. (Need proof? See the clip above — you can check out the beach club in their Jersey Shore home.) The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple can turn any occasion into an epic, over-the-top bash. And their latest fete, a Capri-inspired party that they threw at their New Jersey house, is no exception to the rule.
It's no wonder Melissa and Joe chose Capri as their party theme. This past July, the couple traveled to Italy to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary, and they spent several dreamy days in the lemon-flecked towns of the Amalfi Coast. During the romantic getaway, they both posted frequently on social media, and each photo looked more idyllic than the last.
Overall, Melissa described the getaway as “magical.” She uploaded pictures of herself posing on a terrace with staggering hillside views as a backdrop. She went on to share picturesque pasta dishes, videos of thrilling water excursions, and photos from Le Sirenuse, the iconic luxury hotel where she and Joe stayed. And though Melissa and Joe didn't travel back to Capri this week, they did manage to bring a taste of it back home.

In a September 17 Instagram post, Melissa shared a carousel of photos from her most recent party. "Right back to Capri," she captioned the post. For her hosting duties, the Envy Boutique owner wore a floaty white dress. In her Instagram Stories, the mom of three shared a peek inside the bash, where there was a bounty of beautiful Italian food.
Melissa's snapshots showed off a limoncello station, thick pasta ribbons in a giant wheel of cheese, and a gorgeous charcuterie spread filled with meats, cheeses, and more. Offerings also included Italian cookies and an interactive food station with croissants and prosciutto hanging from clothespins on a line.
In her captions, Melissa shouted out her vendors, including Ciao & Cello, which plans limoncello-making parties. She also thanked private chef Mark DiLeo, and noted that there are "no cookies" like the ones by Epic Cookies. "Thank you for seeing my [Italian] vision," she wrote, while Margaret Josephs commented: "Amalfi Coast vibes in the Jerz."
Speaking of limoncello-making, guests including Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral tried their hand at preparing the citrusy drink. Both RHONJ cast members posed for a photo at the Ciao & Cello station, holding peeled lemons and wearing gorgeous summer-in-Italy styles.
