Melissa Gorga Shows the Sweet Way She Celebrated Her Birthday: “Life Is Good”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom’s special day included the “small things” that bring her joy.
Melissa Gorga can sing, run a business, and design a gorgeous house from the ground up. But let’s not forget: The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member also has a talent for birthday parties big and small.
Though she has thrown some over-the-top birthday bashes in the past (see the clip above for proof), Melissa opted for a cozier family celebration this year. And based on the pictures, it seems it was every bit as sweet as the time she had angels serve golden cake.
In a March 21 Instagram post, Melissa shared a photo of her family at the NYC restaurant Carbone. “It’s the small things for me,” she captioned the snap. “Dinner with my husband [and] my children at my favorite restaurant on my Bday. Life is good.”
In their Instagram Stories, Melissa and her family shared a peek inside the celebration. The crew toasted with three water glasses (the kids’) and a pink cocktail (presumably Melissa’s.)
The videos also showed Melissa with a special birthday dessert that was lit up with candles. Her family and the Carbone staff serenaded her with the birthday song. “Happy birthday love,” her husband, Joe Gorga, captioned his post.
In other Stories, Melissa showed more sweet moments from the day. At work, Melissa got birthday cupcakes. And in a photo that seemed to show her kitchen counter, there were bouquets, a cutely wrapped gift, and — yes — even more cupcakes.
Melissa has a track record of fabulous birthday meals. Last year, she had a special birthday lunch with friends including Margaret Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider. The group enjoyed a variety of drinks, shrimp, and an eye-popping dessert.
Later, Joe documented Melissa’s birthday dinner at Nerai in Manhattan. Their meal included delicacies that Melissa described as the “best Greek food ever.”
The year before that, in 2021, Melissa celebrated her 42nd birthday with an elegant family dinner and a pretty pink cake in New York City. But when the RHONJ cast member found herself in Las Vegas a week later, she decided to keep the party going — and she kept the sweets coming too.
In her Instagram Stories from March 27, the Envy Boutique owner shared a peek at the birthday desserts that topped her table at Beauty & Essex. Filled with whimsy, the sugary treats had a high-end carnival vibe.
In Melissa’s posts, she noted that the restaurant was “sending [her] off to New Jersey right.”
A candlelit plate bore a frosted message: “Happy belated birthday Melissa.” A platter of assorted desserts included cinnamon-sugar doughnuts, cotton candy, and cake pops with rainbow sprinkles. And if that’s not sweet enough, there was also a tabletop Ferris wheel that held desserts in little golden buckets. (Fun fact: The $38 menu item is called Beauty’s Wonder Wheel.)
