Margaret Josephs Celebrated Her Birthday & Easter with the Most Fabulous Cake
The RHONJ cast member had the perfect dessert to celebrate her special day, which happened to fall on Easter this year.
Margaret Josephs celebrated her birthday on April 9, which was also Easter. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member celebrated in the sweetest, most springtime-appropriate way: She had a fabulous carrot cake, which she ate while wearing her “sparkle birthday caftan.” And it seems “the Marge” wouldn’t have had it any other way.
In an April 9 Instagram share, the birthday girl is all smiles. Clad in a sparkling rainbow-hued look from designer Teggy French, Margaret holds her birthday cake up for its glamour shot. Her gorgeous gateau has clouds of swirled frosting on top. Its base is dotted with graham cracker crumbs, and jaunty frosted carrots dot its sides.
In her caption, the Macbeth Collection founder cheekily wrote, “He has risen and so has she.” She added: “Happy Easter to all and Happy Birthday to me! I spent the day cooking and eating in my sparkle birthday caftan and watching movies with the fam. A perfect day.”
To make the scene even more perfect, there was a gorgeous bouquet. In Margaret’s photo, she poses in front of a cut-crystal vase filled with towering, bright orange flowers.
Margaret’s 2023 birthday cake is just the latest example of her taste for fabulous birthday treats. In 2021, she celebrated her birthday at New York City’s LAVO restaurant. She ended the meal with a lavish dessert plate that featured a giant slice of chocolate cake, cheesecake drizzled with caramel glaze, and some cookies on the side.
When Margaret’s mom, “Marge Senior,” turned 75 in 2022, she had her own show-stopping cake. The three-tiered confection was strewn with flowers. Red roses, baby’s breath, and yellow and purple blossoms cascaded down the side of the unforgettable dessert.
Though Margaret’s birthday cakes are extra special, sweets are a staple item in her refrigerator. In the clip above, she allows BravoTV.com to peek inside her fridge, while providing some playful commentary.
“Marge ... has tons of alcohol,” she says. “Everything to make a cocktail: prosecco, wine, gin. Because even though I don’t drink alcohol, I like to entertain. This girl knows how to throw a party. Have you not seen? I’m the professional party girl. And you know what else Marge has? Marge has lots of cake. Sweets, nonstop!”
