Ashlee Holmes Malleo Goes on an Epic Rant About Gray Hair-Shaming
The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter has a serious question: "What the f--k is wrong with grey hair?"
Ashlee Holmes Malleo is all about sharing her favorite things, whether it's a super flattering pair of mom jeans or a beauty secret she swears by. The daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Jacqueline Laurita posted a gorgeous selfie yesterday with a hilarious caption (she's known for that). "That face you make when your filler/botox wears off... and you don’t want to risk showing any emotion," she joked.
Ashlee dove into the comments to answer questions on her lip color (Velvet Teddy by MAC) and her perfectly-shaped brows (she does them herself). But a few criticism about Ashlee's hair inspired her to set the record straight on Instagram Stories with a series of videos.
"I have to address this really quick because it's bothering me: in the picture that I just posted, people were telling me that I had grey hair," she said in a video. "My natural hair color is an ash blonde brown, so when the sun hits it just right, it look gray but it's not. It's just a mix between poor blending of my makeup and just my natural hair color growing out because I haven't gotten it done in forever."
"I don't have grey hair, sorry," she said. But she wasn't done. "One more thing, because I was thinking about it and it was bothering me: if it was grey hair that I was deciding to grow out, what the f--k is wrong with grey hair. Why all the hate? I happen to like grey hair."
Right on! Ashlee spoke up about her right to have any hair color she wants, and for her love for a certain wrinkle-freezing cosmetic injectable. "Botox is amazing," she wrote to a commenter who asked why she gets Botox. "I get it for the lines in my forehead. It started as preventative measures when I was 21 and I’ve just been in love ever since. I get it usually once or twice a year."
When someone said she was too young for Botox, she replied: "False. Do your research." (We have done our research, too, by the way, and you can read about all the Bravolebrities who swear by preventative botox here.)
