Joe Giudice Gives a Tour of His “Simple” Apartment in Italy
"Wish I was home, but this is better than where I was," Teresa Giudice's husband said of his high rise building in the Italian hillside.
Since being released from ICE custody over the summer, Joe Giudice has been awaiting a decision in his ongoing deportation case in his native Italy. We learned during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked that Joe was living with in grandmother’s home in the small town of Sala Consilina in the province of Salerno, explaining to Andy Cohen that her house “is small, but it’s fine.”
Over the weekend, the husband of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice gave his Instagram followers a full indoor and outdoor tour of his current apartment, which he shared, “At my mothers cousins house simple Italian living.” In a series of posts (check them out below!), Joe gave a look of every nook and cranny of his apartment, which is located in a high rise building nestled into the base of a beautiful Italian hillside. “Simple Italian living, fireplace, hot water, little kitchen and that’s the shower, look at that, you heat up the fire in order to take a shower so you can have hot water, that’s great,” Joe said, while panning over the humble, rustic surroundings.
In another video, Joe narrated, “My apartment, bedroom, my desk, my kitchen, my ugly tablecloth, my bathroom, my washing machine, toilet with no toilet seat that’s how they do it here, my bidet, my shower and sink. My couch, TV, balcony, and this is how you dry your clothes—no dryers here in Italy. Beautiful view of the mountains. Bo to the gym, go eat, and that’s my Saturday afternoon. Start work next week, I’m very excited. Life is good, wish I was home, but this is better than where I was.”
Teresa's bestie Dolores Catania revealed at BravoCon she was not happy with how Joe spoke to Teresa during their special, but despite that, she is clearly supportive of Joe. Commenting on one of his video posts, Dolores wrote, "It's a nice home ? very happy for u."
Offering more looks at the building from the parking lot, Joe shared that he’s living in a gated community, and he showed off his new wheels abroad — a Mercedes C200.
While he certainly misses his wife and four daughters, Joe seems to be doing his best to be in the moment in Italy. “Enjoying the beautiful view, can’t beat this view, it’s a hell of a walk to get up here but you can’t beat this view,” he said, showing off the gorgeous rolling hills from a balcony.
