Now We Know Why Camille Grammer Was "Very Upset" With Teddi Mellencamp-Arroyave After Her Grill "Fail"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies had it out over some not-so-Instagram-worthy burgers.
For us foodies over here at The Feast, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 9 camping trip was the gift that kept on giving — with whipped cream on top.
We got this instantly iconic view of Erika Girardi savoring a slice of pumpkin pie for breakfast. We got one hotel's sassy, food-filled swipe at Lisa Rinna for a certain comment she'd made about their property. We got the craziest grocery-shopping trip in Bravo history. And we also got a weighty matter to scratch our heads over: Does Camille Grammer, in fact, know how to grill?
For those who missed it, there was a point in the episode when the newlywed decided to man the grill. Trip host Teddi Mellencamp-Arroyave quickly put the kibosh on that, despite Camille's protests that she knows how to cook up some meat. But really, does she? Those were some pretty pink, messy hamburger patties we saw on the grill there, Camille...
Camille had a chance to answer that when she appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 After Show. In the clip above, she confessed: "I tried to take charge of the grill, but it didn't go to well. I grill a lot at home, I do! I mean, I've been grilling for years. I know how to use a grill. This one, we couldn't get started. So the grilling didn't work so well this time around. It was kind of a fail."
But then, she revealed where the real beef lies: "But it was frustrating because Teddi kept trying to get in and take over," Camille said. Aha! So that's the... rub. (Ahem.) Teddi and Camille haven't exactly been besties this season, so there was perhaps more to this grill scuffle than meats — er, meets the eye.
However, when she had her turn to weigh in on the meat scandal during the After Show, Teddi shared her real concern with Camille manning the grill — and it didn't have to do with behind-the-scenes drama. "[Camille] was cooking with like a plastic spatula, so the plastic was burning onto the grill," Teddi shared. "I think I was just like, move it or lose it, we're not gonna eat plastic tonight...
