Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Says This Pregnancy Has Changed How She Sees Her Body
"This pregnancy has taught me a lot about gratitude and self-reflection," shared The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave has been an open book when it comes to the highs and lows of her third pregnancy. Whether she is posing with a bare baby bump at 28 weeks during what she considers to be her "easiest" pregnancy or powering through food aversions, Teddi has kept it more than real with fans and followers. And in her latest Instagram post, she reflects on how her journey to her third pregnancy has changed the way she views her body (then and now) and why she believes it is more important now than ever before to "be sweet to you."
On February 4, Teddi shared a behind-the-scenes snap from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 reunion. In the pic, Teddi is wearing her glittering charcoal, long-sleeved minidress with a ruffle detail. The Beverly Hills fitness pro's toned physique is clear, but according to Teddi, she still managed to be critical of her physical appearance.
"I was super stressed because I knew I would be confronted with mistakes I had made," she explained in her caption. "In turn, I comforted in my old habits of picking on my physical appearance before walking to that couch. I said things to my glam girls like, 'My skin looks so bumpy.' & 'I feel like you can see my bald spot.' & 'My stomach is pooching in the front of this dress.'"
But now, as she looks back on how critical she was, she's realized the importance of self-love. "This pregnancy has taught me a lot about gratitude and self-reflection," she continued. "So as I look at these pictures I know that when moments like this hit I need to remember to be grateful, dig deep to address the root of the issue and lean into fixing it before it takes over."
Teddi is urging followers to remember to be kind to themselves and we are here for every supportive word she has to share. "Because the hardest person to give grace to is usually yourself. So be sweet to YOU this February."
