Katie Maloney Is Ready for Fall with a Bold New Hair Color (PHOTOS)
“Are we seeing this color?!” the Vanderpump Rules beauty exclaimed while documenting her latest hair change.
Katie Maloney isn’t afraid to change up her look, as evidenced by the various hair colors and lengths she has experimented with over the years. Recently, the Vanderpump Rules cast member has taken to shorter styles, going edgier with each chop, such as her latest pixie cut, which was inspired by the music video for Natalie Imbruglia’s 1997 hit “Torn.”
Moreover, the now-brunette also had a “blonde-ification” moment back in Season 2 (though it was short-lived). Katie even spoke about the look in 2015 with StyleCaster, noting that she wanted to “be a platinum blonde” one day. “I would like to experiment with hair color more,” she said at the time.
Well, it looks like Katie is ready to experiment with changing up her color, as she recently took to her Instagram Stories to debut a bold new look that honestly stopped us in our scrolling tracks.
Katie Maloney debuts a copper red hair color
On September 12, Katie was hanging out in her apartment (the likes of which you can see in the video above) when she decided to make a new beauty move.
“So earlier I was cleaning out some products, and I found this temporary color styling gel […] and it’s red. It’s supposed to work on brunette hair… so let’s see!” Katie began the Story, showing the bright red color of the hair dye in her hand. “Are we seeing this color? OK!”
“This is what we’re left with,” Katie noted in a subsequent Story, showing her in-process result of the rich red color.
She continued: “You can’t even see the proper color. It just looks like orange or coppery, but… It’s just wet and stiff right now, but when it air-dries you’re supposed to break up the casting on it or whatever… OK!”

In addition to her fresh hair hue, Katie has been taking to Instagram over the summer to share other fashion-forward beauty moves, including a stellar manicure she sported while celebrating her pal Lala Kent’s early birthday at Bathtub Gin in Los Angeles.
As the sandwich shop co-owner showed off the speakeasy-style hotspot’s cool drink coasters, she also gave us a closer peek at her stunning almond-shaped nails that had a light pink/beige background and silver swirls. Silver studs topped off each nail for an extra pop.
The California resident gave us an additional glimpse of her nails from the side in another Instagram Story, crediting the press-on nail company Quickies for the convenient manicure.
